First New Lovell / Nunn Recordings For 16 Years!

I first began writing songs with Tim Lovell (right) in January 1986. Just before Christmas we had begun work on a short lived project called Essence of The Raw. This never came to much but Tim and I continued to write together, producing a handful of cassette albums for friends and family.

Tim moved to Birmingham and later Worcestershire in the 90s and though we have written sporadically since then we have done little recording. We recently started discussing a new project and decided a more laid back, largely acoustic project would suit some of the songs that we loved but never did much with.

So far we have worked with me sending backings to Tim (via mp3) and him making suggestions on the arrangement. When we have tweaked an arrangement we are both happy with Tim records a vocal and sends it to me as a 24 bit wav.

You can listen to what will probably be the title track (below left) or download it (right). More news to come as more tracks are completed. At this stage I have completed most of the backing tracks and and Tim is recording his lead vocals.

Update: June 2009

This project is currently on hold. I have not heard from Tim for a while and i imagine he is too busy to finish it at present.

After several months of work I finished the album. Recording started in September 2006 and finished in May 2007.

This is the first time I have written an entirely new batch of songs for an album, having written them all within the last two years.

The Listening Post: Update November 2008

If you click on the link above you will go to a the section where I am putting up FREE music to listen to. Just added is a new rock instrumental album called "House of Cards". This album includes three compostions written around 25 years ago while I was at college after I found some old scores in the loft.

Also up to listen to are the "Blackguard AD2007" electric instrumental album and also "Wooden Music", an instrumental album recording using mainly acoustic instruments.
